Cranford’s Creativity Shines in Annual Scarecrow Stroll
Businesses and residents went all out once again for the downtown Cranford event.
Scarecrows (or a take on them) are popping up all over Downtown Cranford as part of the annual Scarecrow Stroll, which runs through Oct. 27.
The Office of Business and Economic Development sponsors the event that features more than 70 scarecrows. The creations range from Medusa to the 'Selfie Crow.' View the gallery to see some of the magic.
The group, Union Area Parents, picked the Scarecrow Stroll as one of their #13HalloweenHappenings.
Votes for favorite scarecrow in both the 12 & under and 13 & over category will be accepted between Oct. 17 and Oct. 27. Ballots will be mailed to all Cranford residents and also available at Cranford businesses.
Last year’s winners included: Pizza Man by Cub Scout Pack 103, Den 5., Corky’s Bar by the Cranford Hotel and Moo-ving into Autumn Cow by Lincoln School Achievement Program.
The scarecrows even have their own Facebook page at www.facebook.com/scarecrowstroll.
