Longtime Cranford Resident Bertha Turon Krak Passes Away

Krak lived in Cranford since 1950.

Bertha Turon Krak, died Sunday, November 24, 2013. Born in Staten Island, she lived in Bayonne before moving to Cranford in 1950.

Mrs. Krak was a lab technician for Western Electric at the Clark Plant retiring after 28 years in 1984. A communicant of St. Helen’s Church in Westfield, she was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and of the Thursday Senior Citizens Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Catherine Turon, by her three brothers Stanley and Anthony Turon and half-brother Frank Ruscki; her beloved sister Helen Maria and also her grandson Brian Rooney.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna Ruchok and her husband Michael and Nancy Rooney, and two grandsons Sean Rooney and Scott Ruchok.

Services will be private.
