Christopher Academy Announces New Program

Christopher Academy, The Montessori School, announces the expansion of their Stepping Stones program for children aged 2 ½ years.   The school now offers a two-day and four-day morning option at our Scotch Plains campus. 

Established in 1963, Christopher Academy maintains premier status as the first Montessori school in New Jersey and is accredited by the American Montessori Society.  A torch-bearer of excellence in Early Childhood and Montessori education, Christopher Academy helped to found the New Jersey Montessori Administrators' Council and established a high-quality Montessori teacher education program in the state.

With campuses in Westfield and Scotch Plains, Christopher Academy presents an exceptional learning environment tailored to the individual child aged 2 ½ through first grade.  Christopher Academy holds true to the holistic approach to education as set forth by Dr. Maria Montessori in 1906 at the first Casa dei Bambini in Rome, Italy.  Students are guided to build their own foundation through challenging academic materials within a comfortable, child-directed environment.
