Accidents With Injuries Tie Up Traffic On Parkway

Local emergency crews have responded to the Garden State Parkway due to crashes in both the north and southbound lanes.

Cranford police, fire and EMS crews are on the scene of a multi-vehicle accident with injuries on the Garden State Parkway, just north of exit 137. Collisions have occurred in both the northbound and southbound lanes, according to police.

Cranford Police Sgt. Gerard Quinn said that the state police requested that Cranford send three ambulances to the scene due to multiple injuries resulting from the crash.

The NJ State Police are handling the incidents and have officers at the scene. A desk sergeant at the Troop E Bloomfield Barracks of the NJSP refused to comment on the incident when contacted at approximately 4 p.m.
