Car Crash Leads To Arrest Of Cranford Man

The following information was obtained from the Cranford Police. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A motor vehicle crash in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Denman Road led to the arrest of a Cranford resident on March 31.

At approximately 3:40 a.m., Patrolman Christopher DiFabio responded to a motor vehicle accident. When he arrived at the location, he found that a silver, 2007 Hyundai had crashed into a tree.

The driver, who was identified as Alexander Gazsi, 21, of Cranford, was not injured in the crash, according to Detective Lt. James Wozniak of the . During an investigation on the scene, Patrolman DiFabio arrested and charged Gazsi with driving while intoxicated. he was also charged with careless driving.
