Clark Police Respond to Reports of 'Shots Fired' Near Rahway Border

The exact source of the noise was being investigated by police Friday night.

Clark Police units searched the area of Maurice Avenue Friday night at approximately 9:50 p.m. after residents reported hearing what sounded like gunshots.

Maurice Avenue is near the Rahway border. According to reports, units from the Union County Police Department as well as the Rahway Police Department were notified and responded to the area to assist with the search.

No additional information was provided by the Clark Police Department as of 10 p.m. Calls to Police Captain Al Scherb were not immediately returned.
