Cops Offer Safety Tips for Trick-or-Treating
Walking with a parent and wearing bright clothes are among the recommendations.
The Cranford Police Department wants local children and families to be extra careful when out trick-or-treating on Halloween eve.
Detective Lt. Robert Colaneri has generated these tips for staying safe on Halloween:
- Be bright at night
- Look both ways and listen for traffic before crossing
- Cross at corners
- If there are no sidewalks, always walk facing traffic
- Think about your trick of treat route and make sure your parents know where you will be
- Wear a disguise that does not obstruct your vision
- Invite others to join the fun of safe Trick or Treating
