Cranford Arrest Report: Union Man Hit With Drug Possession Charge

Arrested Feb. 16 at 10:56p.m. near Hillcrest Avenue and James Avenue
Guillermo Manjarres, 23, Clifton

Charges: Driving While Intoxicated

A 2013 Cadillac STS was stopped for erratic driving and crossing a double yellow line. Following an investigation at the scene, Sgt. Perrotta arrested the driver (Manjarres) for suspected DWI. He was processed and released with a court date of 2/20/13 in Municipal Court. Manjarres was also cited for Failure to Observe Stop Sign, Failure to Keep Right and Failure to Exhibit Documents (license).
Arrested Feb. 17 at 7:15p.m. at Centennial Avenue and Raritan Road
Thasha Green, 48, Rahway
Arrested by: Ptl. Spencer Durkin
Charges: Contempt of Court (Traffic Warrants)
A 1992 Plymouth was stopped for motor vehicle violations. The driver (Green) was found to have outstanding arrest warrants from Newark, Irvington, Linden and Rahway Municipal Courts. She was processed on the warrants and turned over to the Irvington Police Department pending court appearances in those municipalities.
Arrested Feb. 18 at 11:54p.m. near Raritan Road and Moen Avenue
Kemoy Wint, 23, Union
Arrested by: Ptl. Steven D’Ambola
Charges: Possession of Marijuana (less than 50g), Possession of Paraphernalia
A 1996 Honda was stopped for equipment violations. During the investigation at the scene, Ptl. D’Ambola located suspected marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver (Wint) was arrested, processed and released pending a court date of 2/20/13 in Municipal Court. Wint was also cited for No Front License Plate and Tinted Windows.
