Cranford Man Dies After Jumping Off Driscoll Bridge

The man parked his vehicle on the side of the parkway and jumped off the bridge.


A Cranford man jumped to his death off of the Driscoll Bridge in Woodbridge on Wednesday morning, according to State Police.

Robert Stucker, 74, parked his green Cadillac in the left lane of the Garden State Parkway in Keasbey, got out and jumped off the Driscoll Bridge, Sgt. Adam Grossman of the State Police told My Central Jersey.

Witnesses reportedly saw Stucker exit his car and jump, NJ.com reported.

Stucker’s body was discovered around 8 a.m. on Wednesday by a group of safety workers doing repairs to the bridge, according to Grossman. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
