Cranford Police Arrest Westfield Man For Drug Possession

A routine motor vehicle stop led to the arrest of a Westfield man on drug charges, according to the .

On April 16 at 1:56 p.m., Officer Spencer Durkin stopped a 1993 Chrysler in the area of Centennial Avenue and Cranford Hall because the occupants were not wearing their seat belts.

After a brief on-scene investigation, Officer Durkin found that an occupant identifed as William M. Lundy,27, of Westfield, was allegedly in possession of a controlled dangerous substance. According to police reports, Lundy was arrested for possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, as well as CDS paraphernalia.

It was further determined that Lundy had an outstanding warrant for $800 out of Cranford. Lundy was processed and released with proceedings pending.
