Police Arrests: Improper Turns, Cell Phones and Drugs

Cranford police activity from August 26-31.

Cranford Police made two alcohol- and marijuana-related arrests last week.

Wednesday, September 26:
A vehicle was stopped on Centennial Avenue and Cayuga Road at 2:43 a.m. for making an improper turn. The driver, Sedona Horning, 18, from Scotch Plains was arrested for driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath tests, underage possession of alcohol, and improper turn.

Monday, September 31:
A vehicle was stopped on Orange Avenue at 12:02 p.m. for cell phone use by the driver. Through further investigation, the driver, Khalilah Hobbs, 21, from Bethlehem, Pa., was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, failure to stop, use of cell phone, and maintenance of vehicle lights (headlights, brake lights, taillights).
