Cranford Police Nab Shoplifter

Elizabeth woman allegedly stole from Eastman Street store.

An Elizabeth woman was arrested by late last week after allegedly steaing clothing from a local business.

On April 12, at 3:34 p.m., Patrolman Thomas Bell was dispatched to Artemesia, located at 19 Eastman St. on a report of shoplifting. According to employees at the store, two white Freeset T-Shirts made by the Global Girlfriend Company were taken. According to police reports, the suspect was described as a white female in her mid-50s with a thin build and black, curly hair. She was believed to have been wearing several pieces of jewelry.

After conducting a search of the area, an individual matching the description was located. In her possession was a T-shirt matching the description of the stolen item. Officer Bell arrested and charged Debra A. Bidsock, 53, with shoplifting. She was taken to police headquarters where she was processed and released pending a hearing in .
