FLOODING: Voluntary Evacuation In Cranford

Cranford officials issued a voluntary evacuation of the flood zone of Cranford as of 10 p.m. Wednesday. 

The river is expected to crest between 2 to 4 a.m. when water upstream of Cranford flows through Cranford. 

For those with no other alternative, such as a friend or family member's home, a shelter is available at the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue. The shelter is open.

Instructions:

VOLUNTARY EVACUATION of the flood zone of Cranford issued. Community Center open as shelter.

Speaking of flooding, did anyone snap a picture of the lake at Nomahegan Park this morning? It should be sent to those who want to build a field that drains into that body of water. I hope it was visible from the UCC president's office. No more discussion necessary!
