Police Make Drug, Warrant Arrests

Police activity from October 4-12.

Cranford Police made a drug and warrant arrest last week. Details:

Tuesday, October 6:
Officer Brian Lopez stopped a vehicle at Centennial and Grant avenues at 10:14 p.m. for an expired inspection sticker. The driver Nancy Perez, 44, from Cranford had an outstanding warrant out of Newark. She was also found to be in possession of heroin. She was charged with possession of heroin, paraphernalia, CDS in a motor vehicle, and failure to inspect vehicle.

Monday, October 12:
Officer Spencer Durkin stopped a vehicle on Raritan Road and Centennial Avenue for a passenger not wearing a seat belt. The passenger Darren Luis, 44, from Linden was wanted out of Elizabeth. Through further investigation, the subject had given Durkin the wrong name and date of birth to avoid apprehension on other warrants. It was determined that Luis had six other outstanding warrants from other municipalities.
