Police Blotter: Woman Charged With Heroin, Cocaine Possession
This week's Cranford Police reports.
Cranford Police arrested Roberta James, 42, on North Avenue by the Garden State Parkway ramp around 10:22 p.m. Feb. 27 for allegedly possessing cocaine and heroin, according to Det. Sgt. Gerard Quinn of the Cranford Police Department.
Police found James, a Roselle resident, occupying a broken-down 2000 Mercury Sable parked on the side of North Avenue.
Police also found she possessed a suspended driver's license and outstanding criminal warrants from Linden, Woodbridge and Elizabeth. James' is scheduled in Superior Court in Elizabeth today.

Here are the rest of this week's Cranford law enforcement reports:
- Police arrested William Thwaites, 19, on Feb. 22 for allegedly possessing less than 50 grams of marijuana. The Kenilworth resident, driving a 2001 Jeep, was pulled over for an inspection violation on Kenilworth Boulevard by County Park Drive around 10 a.m. Ptl. Timothy O'Brien located both a glass pipe and the drug in the vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in Cranford Municipal Court today.
- Cranford Police arrested Ahmad Saadeh, 30, for alleged possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana.
Ptl. Spencer Durkin pulled over the Union resident around 2:17 p.m., who was driving a 2003 Chevrolet, on Centennial Avenue by Raritan Road because he was not wearing a seatbelt. When Durkin allegedly located a bag of suspected marijuana as well as a partially smoked hand rolled marijuana cigar. Saadeh is scheduled to appear in Cranford Municipal Court today.
