Police Make Drug Arrest on Centennial Ave

A driver from N.Y. was arrested after a Cranford officer stopped him for driving with a cracked windshield.

Cranford Police Officer Spencer Durkin arrested a driver on Centennial Avenue for possession of marijuana at 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday.

Durkin stopped a vehicle on Centennial Avenue near Hillside Avenue at 8:20 a.m. for a cracked windshield, according to police officials. Through further investigation the 32-year-old driver from Bronx, N.Y.  was arrested for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

The driver was also issued motor vehicle summonses for obstructed view, unregistered vehicle, and failure to exhibit registration documents.
