Police Make Hit and Run, Harassment, Drug Arrests

Cranford police arrested suspects on account of hit and run, driving while intoxicated, harassment, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and other charges last week. Details:
Thursday, October 22:
Officer Matthew Nazzaro was dispatched at 9:06 p.m. to seek out a suspect who left the scene of an accident on South Avenue and Lincoln Avenue West. A witness followed the suspect's vehicle into a driveway of a Cranford residence. Nazzaro responded to the residence and arrested the 53-year-old male driver of the vehicle, a Cranford resident. The driver was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a suspended license, driving while intoxicated, careless driving and refusing to submit to breathalyzer tests.
Sunday, October 25:
Officers Derek Farbanec and Donald Zsak were detailed to a Cranford residence at 11:43 p.m. after receiving a report of someone trying to gain entry into a home. Upon their arrival, a male was arrested for harassment, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Homeowner knew the subject but did not want him at her residence.

Monday, October 26:
Officer Steven D’Ambola responded to Allen Okell Place at 7:29 p.m. to investigate a suspicious vehicle occupied by two individuals. Through further investigation, the driver 20-year-old male driver from Cranford was arrested for possession of CDS marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was also charged with possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.
