Teen Dies in Fiery GSP Crash Near Cranford

The 18-year-old driver was a resident of Linden.


An 18-year-old was killed in a fiery crash on the Garden State Parkway near Cranford on Monday evening, according to State Police.

Oscar Florczyk, of Linden, was driving northbound on the Parkway when his Subaru lost control, drove off the highway and struck several trees before becoming engulfed in flames, NJ.com reported.

Florczyk was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident occurred near mile-marker 138.9 and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
