Police arrested a Perth Amboy Man on Feb. 11 for drug possession following a routine motor vehicle stop.
According to Cranford Police Reports, Patrolman Brian Lopez stopped a 2000 blue Dodge on Centennial Avenue at 4:05 p.m. for a passenger seatbelt violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Lopez located suspected marijuana and Percocet on the person of the passenger, who was identified as Lawrence Grey, 50, of Perth Amboy.
Grey was arrested, processed and released with a court appearance scheduled for Feb. 13 in Cranford Municipal Court. The driver, a 19-year-old male from Woodbridge, was released from the scene without being charged.
