Two Arrested for Alleged Heroin Possession in Cranford
Norman Sevell and Nicole Parsons were arrested Monday.
Cranford Police arrested two local residents on Monday after heroin was allegedly discovered in their vehicle, according to the department.
Patrolman Spencer Durkin stopped Norman Sevell, 26, of Clark and Nicole Parsons, 23, of Rahway in a 2004 black Volkswagen for passenger and driver seatbelt violations on Monday at 7:14 p.m. at Centennial Avenue and Raritan Road. During an investigation, Durkin discovered five paper folds of suspected heroin inside the vehicle, according to Cranford Police.
Parsons was also charged with hindering apprehension for providing a false identity during her arrest, police said.
Both Sevell and Parsons were processes and released pending an appearance in Superior Court.
