Birchwood DEP Public Hearing This Thursday

Cranford Development Associates are seeking permits and approvals from the Division of Land Use.

The DEP will host a public hearing on the Birchwood Application on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the Cranford Council Chambers.

Up for discussion is the application submitted by Cranford Development Associates to the Division of Land Use at the Department of Environmental Protection for permits or approvals that include, flood hazard area individual permit and verification, freshwater wetlands transition area averaging water and a freshwater wetlands transition area special activity redevelopment waiver.

Cranford Development Associates are hoping to construct a 360 unit multi-family development in two buildings, as well as a parking structure and modifications to a portion of Birchwood Avenue.

A copy of the application is on file in the Municipal Clerk’s Office.  Members of the public can make speak at the hearing or submit written presentations.
