Burglary, Attempted Withdrawal Using Fake ID, Budget Cuts Top Cranford News

A local man has been arrested and charged with multiple offenses by police following a 9-1-1 call reporting a burglary to a parked motor vehicle and an assault on the vehicle owner.

A Bronx man attempted to withdraw $4,000 from a Chase Bank in Cranford on May 14 by allegedly using a false identity.

Cranford Cuts Budget Back Under State Cap

Following the disapproval by Trenton of Cranford’s budget in early May, the Township informed the public of a possible 2.8 percent tax increase during their readjustment, however it was announced on Tuesday that cuts to the budget would now increase taxes 2 percent.


Cranford Champs Advance to Second Round in States

The Cranford baseball team has already been crowned Union County Champions, but this Monday the baseball team won its 20th game in the first round of the NJSIAA tournament against Rahway.
