Cranford residents favored Republican Steve Lonegan for the vacant New Jersey U.S. Senate seat in Wednesday’s special election, Clerk’s results show.

Of the 4,853 voters on Wednesday, 2,449 voted for Lonegan with Booker a close second at 2,331 votes. Other candidates received less than 25 votes each. However, the unofficial results do not include mail-in ballots.
