Cranford Memorial Day Parade

The Cranford Recreation and Parks Department is pleased to announce its annual Memorial Day Parade.  This parade will take place today, Monday, May 28, 2012 beginning with line up at 8:30 a.m., marching commences at 9 a.m.   All participants will meet at the Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue, Cranford and ending with a traditional memorial ceremony at Memorial Park on Springfield Avenue between Riverside Drive and Central Avenue at 10 a.m.   The Grand Marshal for this year’s parade is Sergeant Peter Fekete, United States Army.   In case of inclement weather, services only will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Bates Hall, on Springfield Avenue between North Union Avenue and Miln Street at 10 a.m.  For further information, please call the Recreation and Parks Department at 908-709-7283.  All are welcome to join us in honoring our heroes.
