UC Republican Women Host Program on Human Trafficking in New Jerey

The Union County Republican Women have arranged to have Ms Kathy Friess, of the NJ Human Trafficking Task Force (NJHTTF) present a program on how the Attorney General and the Division of Criminal Justice with state and federal law enforcement agencies are addressing the problem of trafficking of Humans in New Jersey. Described as modern day slavery, victims can include men, women and children exploited for many types of forced labor including domestic servitude and prostitution.  New Jersey,  because of it's  East Coast location, has the potential to be one of the country's major entry and transit states for trafficking.

The FREE  informational program is open to the public and will take place at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 12th at the Cranford Community Center, located at 220 Walnut Avenue, Cranford. For additional information about the program or the UCRW contact pcoronato@comcast.net.
