NJ.com: Governor Christie Reimburses New Jersey for Use of State Helicopter

Party spokesman Rick Gorka said the governor is reimbursing the state $1,232.30 for the flight to his son's game.

After drawing national criticism for his helicopter ride to and from his son's baseball game, Governor Chris Christie will reimburse the state $1,232.30.

Christie used a State Police Helicopter Tuesday afternoon to fly from downtown Trenton to Montvale in order to watch his son Andrew play baseball. Following the game, Christie flew to Princeton to meet with a group of wealthy Republican donors from Iowa who made their way to the Garden State with the hopes of persuading Christie to run for President in 2012.

The Republican State Committee has since paid the $1,232.29 for the flight from the game to Princeton. Party Spokesman Rick Gorka said, "the check has already been delivered."
