Why does Eric Mason want a two year contract at the 11th hour, after being the Acting Administrator for over a year now, and having let the Township Committee go forward with an interview process for Police Chief that involved the expense of a paid consultant? I thought the Administrator was a person who was the ultimate advisor to the governing body of a given township, someone who they can rely on and be most comfortable with? Has Mr. Mason been steering the governing body one way while having intentions of doing something else all along? Does Mr. Mason's desire to have a contract for 2 years as Administrator have anything to do with the Township Committee's selection of his predecessor as Police Chief? These are questions that should be answered by our elected officials, and immediately.
