The Week Ahead: Deer Management, Christie's Speech, Movie Review

Here's a look at some of the things Cranford Patch is working on for this week.

 

  • The county will begin it's annual Deer Management Program today. This will be the first time an effort has been made to control the deer population in Lenape Park.
  • The Cranford is planning to host a Snowman Contest when the first big snow hits our area. residents will be asked to build snowmen and submit pictured of their creations.
  • Patch will be covering Gov. Chris Christie's State of the State Address tomorrow. In advance of the speech, we will be asking our readers to answer a poll question today.
  • A countywide effort to install energy-efficient solar panels is under way and has begin with panels that were installed on public buildings in Cranford including the and the .
  • The Cranford Newcomer's Club will meet tomorrow night at 7:45 p.m. at the Hansen House. Residents who are new to town, or longtime residents who just want some more information about the township, are welcome to attend.
  • We will have a review of an independent film directed by Cranford resident Ken Castellano. The movie, "Return to Start," had its debut late last week at the Rialto Theater in Westfield.
