  • The will conduct a special meeting at 7:30 p.m. at town hall. The agenda will include a special presentation regarding the future of the municipal building in the wake of damages due to flooding from Hurricane Irene. The Township Committee will also go into closed session to discuss the property on Park Drive and "personnel matters involving the municipal organization, the minutes of which will be released at some time in the future at the discretion of the Township Committee," according to the official agenda. Flood control related matters are also on the agenda.
  • We will have an update on the findings of the Army Corps of Engineers which surveyed the levees in the municipality. The ACE's report shows that using areas such as Lenape Park as a retention basin may be more difficult than officials anticipated. The report also showed that the levees are not stable.
