Township Committee To Meet In Closed Session Tonight

Officials will discuss contractual and personnel issues.

The Cranford Township Committee will go into closed session at 7:30 p.m. to discuss contractual matters related to the restoration of the lower level of the municipal building, a legal matter in connection with litigation entitled, “CDA v. Township of Cranford” and a personnel matter.

Following the closed session, commissioners are expected to vote in public on two consent agenda items including the award of a contracts in connection with renovations and repairs to town hall.

The lower level of the municipal building sustained substantial damage in the wake of Hurricane Irene last year. The trailers behind the Cranford Municipal Building continue to serve as a reminder of the damage that the storm left in its wake. Township officials have devised plans to make sure the trailers don't become permanent office space for the displaced employess whose offices were destroyed by the flood.
