First Aid App for Smart Phone

The Red Cross has released an important app for First Aid preparedness.

In the last year, we've been pleased to transition with PuroClean to join the American Red Cross Disaster Responder Program, a select group of corporations honored to provide the highest level of support to Red Cross relief efforts.

As our corporation has joined in the relief efforts, we have admired firsthand those innovations the Red Cross has created to handle many common First Aid situations. Now, smart phone users can download an app that puts important safety information within a finger swipe.

While providing information on how to handle everyday emergencies, it also houses interactive quizzes that can act as a first step in safety preparedness. While the app is not a replacement for First Aid training, it can provide quick, accurate information until trained professionals are able to arrive at the scene.

Included in the app are: point-by-point directions on how to handle common First Aid situations, including prioritized steps with a function to dial 911 and immediately contact EMS support. Additionally, the app includes badges that are unlocked by general knowledge quizzes, animations, and videos to clarify training points. Together, this powerful app makes learning First Aid easy and enjoyable, and it might provide the instant information that could save your life or the lives of your loved ones.

When life hands us unexpected disasters, preparation is key. As owners of the Cranford franchise of PuroClean Restoration Service, we have seen firsthand the way advanced preparation can alleviate property damage. We have been so pleased to see the same preparation applied to First Aid. The more we all know about every potential disaster, the safer everyone will be.
