27 Flu-Like Absences From Cranford Schools

Check back next week for an updated count of school absences.

In the last week, 27 students have been absent due to what parents and school nurses identified as "flu-like" symptoms. These are not necessarily fully-tested and confirmed cases of H1N1. Orange Avenue School currently holds by far the most absences at 17. As of Wednesday, December 16:

  • Bloomingdale Avenue School: Two total, one in kindergarten, one in second grade.
  • Brookside Place School: Two total, one in first grade, one in second grade.
  • Cranford High School: One total, one in 10th grade.
  • Hillside Avenue School: Three total, one in kindergarten, one in second grade, one in eighth grade.
  • Livingston Avenue School: Two total, one in kindergaten, one in second grade.
  • Orange Avenue School: None.
  • Walnut Avenue School: 17 total, six in preschool, two in kindergarten, three in first grade, six in second grade.
