74 Absent From Cranford Schools With Flu-Like Symptoms

In the last week, 74 students have been absent due to what parents and school nurses identified as "flu-like" symptoms. These are not necessarily fully-tested and confirmed cases of H1N1. As of Tuesday, November 24:

  • Bloomingdale Avenue School: Seven total, two in kindergarten, four in first grade, one in second grade.
  • Brookside Place School: Six total, one in P.M. kindergarten, one in first grade, one in second grade, three in third grade.
  • Cranford High School: 12 total, two in ninth grade, two in 10th grade, one in 11th grade, seven in 12th grade.
  • Hillside Avenue School: nine total, two in first grade, one in third grade, four in fifth grade, one in sixth grade, one in eighth grade.
  • Livingston Avenue School: seven total, three in third grade, four in fifth grade.
  • Orange Avenue School: nine total, one in third grade, one in fourth grade, two in fifth grade, two in sixth grade, one in seventh grade, two in eighth grade.
  • Walnut Avenue School: 24 total, five in preschool, 11 in kindergarten, 6 in first grade, two in second grade.
