Cougars' Boys Hoops Takes Down American History 63-48

Cranford was able to earn a hard-fought 63-48 victory over a young American History basketball program.

While it may not have been the prettiest of wins, the Cougars took care of business in a game that they could have put out of reach on multiple occasions.

When the game seemed to be falling out of their grasp on several occasions, Cranford relied on the size and inside play of Kurt Rutmayer and Reggie Green who were able to help the Cougars hold on for a 63-48 victory. Cranford appeared set to pull away on multiple occasions but could not put away the upstart program.

Green recorded 22 points and eight rebounds and could have finished with nearly 30 points if not some struggles from the free throw line. Rutmayer put in a double-double, scoring 10 points to go along with 11 rebounds and three assists.

Point guard Sean Babos showed off his impressive dribble drive skills throughout, setting up his team for many easy baskets on the way to his six-assist five-point effort. Stefan Fedorchak found himself on the receiving end of many of these passes on the way to his 18-point night, including nine from behind the arch.

The Cougars return to action on Tuesday night when they host the Brearley Bears at 7 p.m. at .
