Hockey
-Mark Pawlick recroded a hat trick in the 6-1 win over Johnson.
-Fell to Summit in Cron Tournament finals 4-3 in a game that they led 2-0.
Boys Basketball
Cranford 66, Nutley 53: Advanced to the finals of the Cranford Tournament with an easy win over Nutley powered by Reggie Green's dominant 23 point 15 rebound effort.
-Earned their first win over the season 66-56 over Hillside thanks to 30 points and 14 rebounds for Reggie Green. The Cougars also got 20 points from Stefan Fedorchak.
Girls Basketball
Cranford 47, Johnson 31: Improved to 5-0 on the season. Jessica McCoy (12 points), Jenna Goeller (12) and Morgan Miller (11) all scored in double figures in the win
Cranford 50, Nutley 28: Morgan Miller led the way with 20 points to lead the Cougars to the easy victory.
-Morgan Miller scored 10 points to go along with four steals, two blocks and two steals in the Cougars' 44-35 win over New Providence.
-Rode a 13-3 second quarter to a 55-37 victory over Oak Knoll.
Swimming
-The swim team currently stands at 5-1 after a tough loss to a competitive Bishop Ahr squad. Several key swimmers were unable to compete which led to the Cougars spotting 20 points to their opponent. Wins have come over Piscataway, Johnson, Dayton and South Plainfield thus far. There have been two school records set. The first one was achieved by freshman Julie Byrne in the 100-Yard Backstroke. Her time for that event was 1:01.86, breaking the previous record held by Jackie Whitty of 1:02.47. Senior Brian Woo broke the Boys 100 Yard Breaststroke record, swimming a 1:02.19. The record was previously held by John McGurk at l:05.
