Cranford Wrestlers Among Top Seeds at UC Tournament

Cougars hoping to improve on last year's 6th place finish.

For Wrestling coach Patrick Gorman, "Cranford made out OK," in Thursday's seeding for the 38th Annual Union County Tournament.

Seeding determines a wrestler's placement on the tournament bracket going into the competition. This year's seeding is as follows:

132 Gavin Murray 3 seed

145 Niko Cappello 3 seed

152 Corey Birch 2 seed

160 Jimmy Dwyer 4 seed

170 Corey Markovitch 2 seed

195 Rob Kessler 3 seed

220 Jeff Weiss 2 seed

Cranford came in 6 out of 14 schools last year, with two wrestlers garnering second place honors.

The 2013 Union County Tournament kicks off at 9a.m. at the Louis J. Rettino Gym at Union High School.
