A Toute Heure and the Locavore Movement

Andrea Carbine, co-owner of Cranford's acclaimed A Toute Heure bistro, will talk about the "locavore" movement. According to About.com, a locavore is "someone who exclusively (or, at least, primarily) eats food from their local or regional food shed or within a determined radius from their home. By eating locally, locavores hope to create a greater connection between themselves and their food sources, resist industrialized and processed foods, and support their local economy." Ms. Carbine will talk about how her bistro adheres to locavore principals on a day-to- day basis. Sponsored by the Cranford Public Library.
