Dust: The Inside Story of Its Role in the September 11th Aftermath

Dr. Paul Lioy will discuss his recently published book, Dust: The Inside Story of Its Role in the September 11th Aftermath, and will have copies of the book available for purchase and for signing. Commenting on the book, Dana Boyd, Professor of Environmental Health & Chemistry at Emory University, wrote: "Dust is an amazing recollection of the scientific issues surrounding exposures after 9/11. Dr. Lioy's first-hand involvement and his scientific expertise qualify him to write such a book. But the personal aspects he brings to the writing provide much perspective into what our nation was facing at the time. I highly recommend reading this book." Dr. Lioy, a Cranford resident, is Vice-Chair of the Department of Environmental and Occupational Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.  The program is sponsored by the Cranford Public Library.
