Olmstead Parks in Union County

Union County Freeholder Bette Jane Kowalski and historian Kathleen Galup will give a fascinating presentation on how Union County had the foresight to establish one of the nation’s first urban “greenways.” early in the 20th Century as part of the Rahway River Association’s “Olmstead Parks in Union County” lecture.

Participants are asked to RSVP at least 24 hours prior to each event.  To confirm your attendance, or for more information, please e-mail info@rahwayriver.org.

The Rahway River watershed encompasses approximately 90 square miles in Essex, Middlesex and Union Counties and is the source of drinking water for tens of thousands of area residents.  For over 15 years, the Rahway River Association has worked towards protecting and promoting the health of the Rahway River watershed.  For more information please visit www.rahwayriver.org or visit us on Facebook.
