Toxins in the Home

The program will be presented by Gerri Stiner, a lecturer on environmental, health and nutrition issues, and it will include a 20-minute video produced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation entitled "Are You Exposing Your Children to a Toxic Brew In Your Home?" Ms. Stiner will discuss the amount of waste created by household cleaners, from containers to chemicals, and the health impacts of certain chemicals found in common household products. The lecture will also include information on being “green” without going to great expense, and will point out useful print and online resources that contain information about maintaining a toxin-free environment.   Sponsored by the Cranford Public Library.
