Wild Edibles Walk & Talk

"Man (or woman) doth not live on bread alone" but could you survive in the "wilderness" of New Jersey on wild plants?  Discover the wonderful world of wild edibles.  Explore the Hanson Park and extended Union County greenway with Naturalist Debbie Naha and get to know the local wild edible plants.  You'll never look at "weeds" the same again!

A Naturalist for the Morris County Park Commission , Debbie's specialty and passion is wild edible plants.   She has been foraging the woods and fields of New Jersey for decades .Debbie is also a Certified New Jersey Master Gardener, and is on the Executive Board in Union County where she spreads the word on "going native" and the need to educate the public on invasive species. In addition, Debbie is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, with a Masters degree in Food and Nutrition from NYU.   She teaches Family and Consumer Science at the high school level.  A degree in Biology, along with Ms. Naha's advanced training in Nutrition, combine to provide a unique approach to appreciating the wild edible plants of our area.  She may be contacted at debbienaha@gmail.com or 908-456-1681.
