School Report Cards: Administrators See Salary Increase, Faculty See Decline

The Department of Education released the school report cards today, showing that Cranford's median administrator salaries increased in 09-10, and faculty salaries experienced a small decline.

The Department of Education has released the 2009-2010 school report card data. We compared employee salaries and experience to state averages and last year's district figures.

Administrator Years of Experience and Salary

Cranford's median administrator salary rose 8.5 percent from 2008-2009 to 2009-2010 to $125,000. That number is $7,105, or 6 percent, higher than the state median of $117,895. The median numbers of years of experience in Cranford is also higher than the state median by four years.

Faculty Years Experience and Median Salary

The median years of experience of Cranford's faculty remained the same as 2008-2009 at 9 years, one less than the state's average at 10 years. However, the median salary declined $668 or 1.14 percent, to $57,903 in 2009-2010. The median salary is $3,937, or 6.4 percent, lower than the state median of $61,840.
