'Happy Hauntings' At Cranford High School

Annual Halloween Show Cranford High School

It’s that time of year again! Time for fun and harmless fear! Time to help out the hard working and creative senior class! Time for “Happy Hauntings!”

On Oct, 26th, from 7 to 11 p.m. and Oct. 27th, from 6 to 10:30 p.m., the senior class of Cranford High School will once again turn the high school into an interactive haunted mansion. The tradition began years ago as a unique fundraiser for the senior prom . . . . a much more interesting and fun means than selling candy or wrapping paper to raise funds.

The event is always a big hit, and greatly looked forward to by the Cranford community as a town Halloween tradition. Students and volunteers will “haunt” the hallways at the high school, against a background of spooky decorations and sets. This year’s inspiration is “The Raven,” by Edgar Allen Poe. Families and friends are invited to walk through, if they dare, and to come in costume, as well. All proceeds go to defray the costs of the senior prom.

What a fun way to celebrate Halloween, and to help out the senior class at the same time! It’s hard to tell who has more fun – the visitors, or the spooky seniors and volunteers!
