Cougars Defeat Delaware Valley Under Memorial Field Lights

The boys were victorious on Friday, despite the injury of their starting quarterback.


The Cranford Cougars lit it up at home on Friday night, defeating Delaware Valley, 30-13.

Cranford’s starting quarterback John Oblachinski injured his ankle during the first quarter making way for sophomore quarterback Jack Schetelich, who rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown, according to NJ.com. He also passed for 104 yards.

Halfback Luke Christiano scored three touchdowns for the Cougars, while kicker Troy Kettler kicked a 39-yard field goal, NJ.com reported.

The Cougars take on Scotch Plains (away) next Saturday at 2 p.m.
