Cranford Resident Alex Stone Receives Liberty League Honor
Stone finished the 2012 season with a 62.4% face off win percentage.
Cranford Resident Union College (NY) junior Alex Stone was selected as honorable mention All-Liberty League for his efforts as the Dutchmen's "FOGO" (Face off, get off) man. Stone won an impressive 62.4 % of his face offs which placed him in the top 20 amongst all D-III qualifiers.
The Dutchmen, who climbed to as high as No. 4 this season, reached the NCAA D-III quarterfinals before falling to Cortland 9-4. Union finished their successful season ranked No. 12 overall.
