The eigth annual Lutheran Church Missouri Synod golf outing will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Heron Glen Golf Course to benefit the family of , who was killed in the line of duty this past New Year’s Day in Mt. Rainier National Park in Washington.

Anderson, a 1995 graduate, was the daughter of Dorothy and Pastor Paul Kritsch, who has served the  Church in Westfield for the past 24 years as senior pastor.

After graduating from college, Anderson joined the National Park Service as a park ranger.  During her tenure, she met her husband, Eric Anderson, who also works for the National Park Service as a ranger.  The two were married at Redeemer Church 2005 and have two young children.

This year, the LCMS New Jersey District Mission Classic Golf Outing would like to benefit Anderson's family.  The park ranger left behind her husband, Eric Anderson and their two children, Anna, age 4 and Katie, age 2.

"Westfield is where Margaret considered her home town to be," said Redeemer Lutheran member Darren Sager.  "It would be wonderful to see her hometown and the surrounding areas come together and support her family now that she's given her life in service to her country."

Sager stressed that 100 percent of the net proceeds will benefit Anderson's family.  The goal for 2012 outing is $30,000.  Registration begins at 8:30 am with an awards luncheon starting at 2:30 pm.   Contests include: “Beat the Bishop,” Hole-in-One, Closest to the Pin (2), Men’s and Ladies’ Longest Drives and Closest to the Line.
