The Cranford District Management Corporation (DMC) is in charge of economic revitalization and promotion of almost 200 properties in Cranford. It consists of one director and two part-time assistants. The DMC has worked on Cranford Crossing, the Riverfront area and many other downtown development projects. It works to attract and assist retail, improve parking and apply for grant money. The DMC is funded through a special improvement district assessment paid by all downtown Cranford property owners based on their property value. Kathleen Prunty serves as director.
