Robert Jordan arrested Macie Tucciarone, 22, of Staten Island and Jacqueline Joseph-Wold, 44, of Brooklyn for Possession of Prescription Medication (Tucciarone: Xanax and Joseph-Wold: Suboxone and Possession of Paraphernalia, according to the report. Tucciarone and Joseph-Wold were stopped at South Avenue and Washington Place when Ptl. Jordan noticed erratic driving by a 1999 Nissan Sentra that was crossing the line on South Avenue. Will fans of 'Kai the Hatchet-Wielding Hitcher' stand by him now that the Internet celeb has been arrested for the murder of Clark's Joseph Galfy? At least one fan is, and he's asking other supporters of Kai (whose real name is Caleb Lawrence McGillvary) to open their wallets to fund his $3 million bail and the cost of his legal defense. Galfy, 73, was found in his Clark home on Monday morning after hosting McGillvary, 24, overnight on Saturday and Sunday. Police say that McGillvary murdered Galfy, who was found in his underwear and socks, severely beaten. McGillvary was arrested in Philadelphia on Thursday night. Caleb Lawrence McGillvary has been arrested by the Philadelphia Police Department at a Greyhound Bus Terminal for the murder of Clark resident Joseph Galfy.
Around 6:30 p.m. Caleb Lawrence McGillvary, aka Internet celeb "Kai the Hatchet-Wielding Hitchhiker," was arrested at the Greyhound Bus Terminal in Philadelphia, by members of the Philadelphia Police Department, announced Union County Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow. McGillvary has been charged with the homicide of Joseph Galfy, Jr., 73, which occurred in Clark on May 12. McGillvary will be processed in Philadelphia and returned to New Jersey in the coming days. His bail was previously set at $3 million and he will be lodged in the Union County Jail in Elizabeth, said Romankow. The New Jersey State Police ranked second among state police agencies nationally in terms of Twitter followers, according to statistics recently released by the IACP Center for Social Media. The agency has 23,618 followers, trailing only the Massachusetts State Police, which had a whopping 62,493 followers, as of April 30. The Texas Department of Public Safety (18,787), the Ohio State Highway Patrol (13,587) and the Indiana State Police (13,466) round out the top five. The Range Rover was stolen on Monday night by thieves using a vehicle stolen from an Elizabeth carjacking a few days prior.
On May 5, a woman in the passenger seat of a Range Rover was threatened at knifepoint in the parking lot of the Dunkin Donuts on Raritan Road by thieves in a Mercedes Benz that was stolen during an Elizabeth carjacking earlier in the week, according to officials. At around 10 p.m. the driver of the Range Rover, 39, pulled into the Dunkin Donuts and entered the store, leaving his 21-year-old passenger inside the vehicle, according to a report on NJ.com. Andrew Johnson, 29, was arrested on the morning of May 7 for distributing images of child pornography on his computer in his Cranford home after an undercover investigation, according to U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman. Johnson appeared in court on the afternoon of May 7 and was released on 100,000 bail, he was charged by complaint with one count of distributing images of child sexual abuse over the Internet, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. On three different occasions in July and December 2012 and April 2013 an undercover agent discovered Johnson distributing the images on an internet sharing site and traced the IP address of the user on the website back to Johnson’s Cranford residence. The most wanted woman in New Jersey history is now the first woman on the FBI's fugitive terrorist list. Joanne Chesimard, convicted of a murdering a state trooper in 1973, was added to the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist list Thursday on the 40-year anniversary of the trooper's death. The FBI Newark Division held a press conference Thursday to announce the addition of Chesimard's name and the collaboration between federal and state law enforcement agencies in upping the reward for information that leads to her arrest to $2 million.
