Union College Relieves Some Parking Pressure
Construction in the summer has led to increased safety on the campus, say officials.
Union County College's parking lot and road renovations have led to a drop in automobile accidents at the school, according to officials. The work has also led to more parking spaces at the college, which has been plagued by parking issues for a number of years. This week the school reported that fewer automobile accidents occurred this fall semester compared with last year. The total number of accidents reported by the college's public safety department was 32 in the fall of 2011. Due to the recent construction of a Springfield Avenue entrance and roadway, college officials said the number dropped by half to 16 in 2012.
