Springfield Ave. to Close for NJ Mayor's Gun Policy Event

Mayors' gun violence event will shut a portion of Springfield Avenue and Parking Lot 1, for most of Monday morning.

An email advisory was sent to all business owners on Friday from the Downtown Disctrict Management Corporation. In the letter business owners were advised that a portion of Springfield Avenue will be closed for much of Monday morning. Downtown employees will be allowed to park in 3-hour spaces, said the letter, if no other spaces are available. According to Kathleen Prunty, the township's Director of Business & Economic Development, the closure of Springfield Avenue from North Avenue to N. Union Avenue will be to accommodate the Mayors Against Illegal Guns press event. The road closure will last from 9a.m. to 12p.m. and Parking Lot 1 will be closed from 7a.m. to 11a.m.   Here is the email sent to business owners:   TO: All Downtown …

Business Alliance Plans Kickoff Event

Kathleen Miller Prunty, Cranford's DMC director, will discuss 2012 business initiatives.

The Cranford Business Alliance announces its kickoff event featuring Kathleen Miller Prunty, who will speak on June 14. Kathleen Miller Prunty, the director of the Cranford Downtown Management Office for 15 years, will speak about the 2012 business initiatives for the Cranford Downtown Business District. Prunty manages several economic revitalization and transit-oriented development projects generating close to $100 million of private investment.
